Viva exam - A new way towards Glory

hey friends ...i am back..Sorry for the delay as i was busy in exams....no no not viva exams but some serious exams :-)

Today i am going to write about my experiences in P.E.C.I will take you through the most funniest part of my life in P.E.C. i.e. studies. Yes studies was the most funniest part in P.E.C. Also this part is requested by Navdeep-our own khadku group leader. So i am bound to write this blog for him and i want to dedicate my this very own blog to him.

The first year was common for all branches and it was fun to attend classes with the most demanded branch of the college . Comp. science!!! not because of the intelligence but because of Girls..On a serious note we had some funny subjects in first year not because of the subject but because of the teachers. We had one bong teacher who taught us physics. It was fun to revisit physics funda in his language. And we have to rush to the class not because he taught superbly but because if we are late then he make us stand up on our seats and sometimes he don't let us come in the class. and if we fail to fulfill the attendance criteria then supplement. And the most funniest part was viva exams of physics in which we have to show whatever little we have learned into practicality which never used to work in front of the professor. Lot many connections we have to make. So what we used to do was we make all permutations and combinations in terms of ..resistance-ohms-current-potential..aur pata nahi kya kya...and if our kismat konnection is all right then the perfect combination might happen in that one hour and if u failed to make that lone combination...then reappear......paas hona mushkil tha and if i m recalling it right ..He gave the maximum no. of supplements.
Somehow i managed to clear the first year with 5th position in  the class (I don't know how...Even today) and i even got scholarship for that as well but my hopes of getting a degree with honors was shattered when i was caught in the web of ATD(Applied thermodynamics)viva exam.

We were called in a group of 5 for viva exams and somehow 0626-Nipun ( what the F*** yaar) was absent. So we five students i.e. me(625,)Nitin(627),Pankaj(628),Chotu(629) and pratap(630) went in.The questions were floating one like each question was passed on to everyone.and most of the answers were given by me.In the mid way below the desk somebody from the four of my colleagues (and now i can say he was chotu)...banged his foot in professor's thigh. and professor(head of mechanical deptt.) suddenly stood up in reaction and that was a quick one and none of us knew except chotu that he stood up cos of banging. And he like stared all of us and me in general with a hard look.I thought i answered one question wrong and i was like convincing prof again n again.

After 3 months, when i was doing my summer internship in Hero honda motors ,I got news from my dad that i got a reappear in some exam and was more happy and amazed to know that that exam is ATD viva exam.I am one of those few luckiest guys who got Reappear in Viva exam cos these are the most easiest exam to score. And after discussing with my fellow band members,i was even  more surprised to know that this is the aftereffect of that banging incident. And the irony was all other guys got passed in that exam and had reappear in some other theory examination which i cleared easily. From there on i never studied because the end result is not in your hands but in your viva exam group members hands.

i can also recall one more incident of our viva exam of Fluid dynamics or Automobile(I am not sure )but one of our class mates i.e. Mutthu uff 00618 did exceptionally well in that.He was asked as to how would you lubricate a motor engine.I don't know what was going through his mind.He said very innocently that " sir , We will open the engine and we will dip each and every part of the engine in oil and will assemble again". This sort of reply made professor in conundrum as to what he should say or do-laugh at himself or annoy at the student and the silence was broken when he said that " If you uttered any word,i will throw you out of the window" and mind you the floor was 5th.

These are the historic viva's we gave during our P.E.C. stint.

hey guys i will be back next time with my work life experiences in India's top two Automobile firms. One being the N0.1 automobile manufacturer and one being No. 1 car manufacturer.

Till then enjoy life to the fullest because

Golden days @ P.E.C.

Welcome to the journey called life.

Whenever i watch Dil chahta hai +1 one more time  (have seen that movie 15 times and still the hunger is there to watch it again),It reminds me of the golden days which i spent in my engineering college.I can still recall the first day of my college when i reached my college 15 minutes earlier and was desperate to go into the room which was locked.2-3 students were standing outside waiting for door to open.i was forcefully given Production branch ( cos of my rank) and we a bunch of 30 production guys were asked to attend classes with Computer branch people.
After Recounselling which was slated to come,i opted for Mechanical branch which was supposed to be the evergreen branch but was not so green when we came to know that there are no girls in our branch. But that feeling went away very quickly when we had that Azaadi to do anything cos Girls would have spoiled that fun.(not that fun you are thinking of).I am talking of Bunking classes Fun which was not possible in other sections because girls were kinda scared of Bunking classes.

Then i met the Friends of my Lifetime.Ajay Arora(Roll no-00604),Avnish Gosain(R.n0 611),Aniket (R no 607),Mayur Garg(621),Navdeep singh popularly known as Osama for obvious reasons(623),Myself(625) and Vikash sharma(654).We were called the "Khadku" group which means a terrorist organisation and the leader was our very own Osama Paaji.
I can remember one instance when our section guys used to search photographs of the fellow students and we used to make a FATWA of that with the guy's pic and a long writing asking for that person Living or Dead. That was sheer fun.Bunks were so common that Professors used to say that this is the most craziest class they have ever seen.We had professors like Shingalshhhh,Ladoo and.......... can't make it public.

I can still recall one moment when one of our band member called his GF to his home and he bunked his classes.Somehow this thing leaked between our khadku group.Phir kya tha Bunk karke chal diye uske ghar. That guy was so frustrated cos he cudn't do anything dat day.(haan aap sahi samajh rahe ho).He had prepared for this day for so long and planned accordingly but gosh jiske aise dost hon uske dushmanon ki kya zaroorat hai :-P.

I can recall one moment when we went to Kufri and we planned to booze that night. We went to one hotel and we asked for drinks.Everybody had one peg and as we were about to finish ajay asked for more.We told him that its over for the day but ajay to phir ajay hai...we guys had a fight that day and we ended up packing one bottle to be finished in the hotel room.

During final year college project,We selected braking system and for that we forcefully took Ajay's scooter to experiment upon.Aniket, the most technical guy in our group showered in lots of suggestions to work upon but in the end we outsourced it and somehow it worked infront of professor.:-P

As i had my home nearby to the college,We used to bunk classes and watch movies at my home which were strictly .....(yup u r thinking in the right direction). We used to play cricket in Sector-15 infront of house. We guys had so much fun together,Pulling everybody's legs, making fun of each other but we know from the bottom of the heart that we are gonna miss everybody after the college is over.
I can still recall Mayur's Words which goes like this "Nikhilesh,After few years when we will be off from college,We will meet some day after 5-6 years in a restaurant when all 7 khadku group members will come in big cars, parking their cars and will meet with tears in our eyes".

"I AM STILL LOOKING FOR THAT MOMENT"

Right now Ajay is in Maruti,Aniket in Goldman sach's,Osama preparing for UPSC,Mayur doing his MBA in US,and Vikash in infosys after his MBA.

As i look back at where everybody is and what they are doing,i found that all are busy in their work but i am still hoping to meet all my Khadku group members one day with Tears in my eyes.
DESPERATELY WAITING FOR THAT MOMENT !!!

A beautiful Journey called LIFE

This is my first blog and it's around 2.30 in the night.I felt like writing it and share my beautiful journey called life.
On this occasion i would like to dedicate my writings to my Parents, who inspired me all through my difficult times, and my friends who are a great support to me.
i would like to say here that i might not be the brightest of the students , i might not be the intelligent of the lot but what what paid me all throughout my life till this moment is HARD WORK.
Theoretically i started my career from tenth standard but practically my career started after i did my Engineering from Punjab engineering college,Chandigarh,Popularly known as P.E.C.
I did mechanical engineering from P.E.C and it was fun to be in a strictly male dominant branch of engineering for obvious reasons. As we used to call " Why do girls have all the fun" and girls were usually a sign of bad omen for this branch.
Mass bunks were such common tools to keep ourselves away from classes and they were executed with such ease that we don't need consensus for that but a half hearted shout from any of the mechie will do the purpose.
Then i shifted my career from College to corporate culture and i was selected by Maruti as G.E.T and it was sheer fun for the first month and we were treated like "Ghar Jamai".Then it was more fun to handle 40 odd people after 8 months of training. Then shifted my career to Tata motors ater 2 yrs for obvious reasons :-).
Then after 2 years the real Journey begins when i was called to take one seat in a strong 261 seat batch.
I will guide you towards this journey in stages and will share my experiences while i was in engineering college.
Till then have a gr8 life and enjoy every moment of it !!!
